Thank you to everyone for the kind emails and comments during this difficult time.  I really appreciate it.
See you then sassy ladies.

Featured Sassy Friend #12. . .Sue Walsh

Happy Monday to you all!  It's Featured Sassy Friends day and do I have a pip of a lady for you today!  You're going to love her work . . . if you don't already!
Please welcome Sue Walsh!
Sue resides in Sydney, Australia and has been a follower of Sassy Cheryl's from the very beginning, WAY back in 2010. She was also one of the top three artists/designers chosen in the April 6th, Sassy Cheryl's challenge.
It's not a wonder either, she is truly amazing!.
Sue creates amazing cards and not just with Sassy Cheryl's images.  She has an eye for detail, from the papers that she chooses to the embellishments and sentiments that grace her cards.  This, however, is my ALL TIME favorite of Sue's Sassy Cheryl's cards.  I was fortunate to receive this amazing card in the mail and will cherish it always.
She used the Country Gal Stamp for this gorgeous card.  It has graced Sassy Cheryl's shop as an example of inspiration for a LONG time.  And I'm sure you can see why!

Now, let's get to Sue's Featured Sassy Friends project.  You're going to LOVE it!  And it's just in time for Valentine's Day!

Sue says. . .
Hello, I'm Sue.  You might now me around the blog world as Tilymint.  I'm a British born Australian blogger wo came to papercraft via all the usual crafty pursuits.
I was so thrilled to be invited to join the girls who make up Cheryl's featured Sassy Friends.  Squigglefly and The Country Gal started my collection of  Cheryl's illustrations.  Like so many others, I fell for the Sassy style!
I joined the groups on PCP and SRN as soon as I read of the start of Sassy Cheryl's Designs and my collection has grown since then.  I picked Cheryl's Beary Valentine for my project today.  I hope that you like it.
Cheryl, thanks so much for the honour of being a Featured Sassy Friend!

Amazing. . . .right!  I thought you'd agree.  Now, before you pop over to Sue's blog; A Consuming Passion, be sure to leave her a comment.  It's so well deserved and I know that Sue would appreciate it.

And so would I.
Thanks for stopping by.

As of today's post there will be a break in the Featured Sassy Friends post as I am doing some much needed work on unexpected changes to the book that I was working on along with some licensing venues.  I hope that you will hang in there. . . .the Featured Sassy Friends spot will be back real soon, so keep us bookmarked.

Featured Sassy Friend #11. . .Marlene Shaw

It's Featured Sassy Friend day and I'm sure you're going to recognize this snarky lady.  I've been a follower of hers for quite a while with her over the top posts.  She certainly says what's on her mind. . . . .!!!  Very rare.
Please welcome Marlene Shaw.
Marlene is one talented lady.  She not only creates incredibly adorable cards, but has a rare talent of having an incredible story to go along with EVERY card she creates.  There is whit in every card and post that she blogs.
Back in November, I created a digi stamp, Bah Humbug that was seriously inspired by Marlene herself. Sarcasm and whit were the true inspiration, which Marlene certainly possesses, for the drawing. And here is Marlene's card.  Isn't it fantastic.

Now. . .
Let's the Marlene be 'herself' and tell you more.  Pay attention, there will be a quiz.  ☺

Snarky Marlene says'
"You may know me as 'Marlooney' a.k.a. "Disguised as a Grown-up.' Just as my moniker implies, I may be just a wee bit nutty and even though I have the framework on an *ahem* 47 *cough* year *sputter* old, I have n inner child of about 6 years of age.  (No disrespect meant to 6 year olds around the world.)
I am a Canadian transplant, firmly rooted on U.S. soil, having become a citizen a couple of years ago.  I'm a late bloomer, as I just started scrapbooking a little over five years ago, and that led to card-making a little over a year ago.
I was tickled pink when Cheryl invited me to be one of her Featured Sassy Friends!  Her images were among the first I purchased, so they have a special place in my heart.  Her sassy little girls are so ME!
I chose this sassy image, Trouble at School, not because I was a holt terror as a child (in fact, I was good as gold, if you must know). . .but because if I was to return to school TODAY, I'd be spending more time in the principal's office than in the classroom, for sure.  Heehee!"

So now, you can hop on over to Marlene's blog, Disguised as a Grown-up, and get your good laugh for the day, but before you pop over there, put down your coffee, or you will be spewing it all over your computer screen.  And don't forget to leave her a snarky comment.  I'm sure she'd love to hear from you.

Be sure to pop in next week for another fantastic Featured Sassy Friend.  It's going to be another good one.

It's Show Me Thursday here at Sassy Cheryl's blog.  And it's time to show us your mess or cleanliness as the case may be. And Cathy, that's you!  Just drop me an email and I'll get that free image out to you.  Congratulations!

So what's in your craft area this week?  Organizing, working on Valentines cards. . . .hmmm.  What could it be.  Here's a little idea I've been throwing around.  It's not 'solid' yet, but it's getting there!  I thought you 'snarky' people, as Marlene calls them, might like this sketch!  Whatcha think?

So join me for the post.  All you need to do is simply post your photos to your blog, PHOTOBUCKET, Flickr, etc., and link back here using Mr. Linky.  You'll have until 8 PM EST on Wednesday, January 19th to enter.  Winner will be chosen by True Random Generator and will be announced the following week. Featured Sassy Friend #10. . .Sylvia Blum

Hooray, hooray, it's Monday and that means another Featured Sassy Friend at here at Sassy Cheryl's Blog.
And another talented friend she is.  Please welcome . . .
Sylvia Blum

Sylvia  is one talented lady and is a frequent poster on my PCP group.  She's such a delight and you're just going to love her work. I guarantee it.
Sylvia's work is amazing, but this has to be one of my favorite cards.  She used the HO HO HO digi stamp to create this AMAZING card.
It's it just gorgeous.
No, let's let Sylvia tell you a little about herself and the card that she has made for her feature today.
Sylvia used the Nature Boy Lover digi stamp to create this incredible card.
Sylvia Says:
" Hi everyone:  I am Sylvia, from Germany and I'm so thrilled that Cheryl has asked me to be one of the Featured Sassy Friends!  I discovered Cheryl's beautiful stamps some time ago and fell in love with their style immediately!  I am especially a huge fan on her snowmen and purchased some for my Christmas cards.  But I don't only love the snowmen but all of the other images she creates.
I am a mom to four boys and so I'm always in need for boys birthday cards.  You may figure that male/boys cards aren't easy to create.  Well at least for me they are difficult.  lol  But when I saw this image, Nature Boy Lover, taking care of his friends, I knew that this was the PERFECT choice for a birthday card for a boy. I hope you like it."

Now, before you pop over to Sylvia's blog, be sure to leave her a nice comment! And be sure to come back next week for another fantastic Featured Sassy Friend.  It's gonna be another GREAT one!

Featured Sassy Friend #9. . .Dorcas Perkins

Well, it's officially 2011.  Can you believe it?!  This is my first blog entry of the new year.  I love beginning afresh and what a great way to start the new year by featuring another talented Sassy Friend!

This week, I am proud to feature Dorcas Perkins.  She is one amazing lady and if you aren't familiar with her work, then you're soon going to become a loyal follower.  She's incredible.
Please welcome Dorcas Perkins.
I first became aware of Dorcas way back in July of 2010 when she entered a Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.  It was love at first sight.  Each of her cards is amazing, but this is one of my favorites.
Dorcas entered this card, Bum Snowman in Love, in the 4th, Sassy Cheryl's COLOR ME Challenge, back in November.  And it's no surprise that it was the winner! It's gorgeous!
Now, I'll let Dorcas tell you a little about herself and how she got started making these amazing cards.

Dorcas says:
I began playing with paper about 13 years ago when I discovered 3D decoupage while living in England.  I didn't make cards, I did framable pictures.  Then when we moved to the States, I started scrapbooking with some friends and became hooked on the whole paper, scissors and glue thing.  A dozen scrapbooks later and no shelf space, I turned to cards.
My first cards were really quite pathetic.  I freely admit it!  I didn't even like them then. LOL.  But I'm a tenacious little beast and was determined to 'get it right.'  I started to enjoy it and with LOTS more practice, started making cards and I would actually feel ok about giving to someone.  LOL.
Then a few months ago, I rediscovered my Prismacolor pencils (after a stint with distress ink coloring and Watercolor pencils) and really found my niche.  There's no turning back now.
Sassy Cheryl's digis were among the first that I ever bought.  I discovered her on Squigglefly and and I have continued to dig into my pocketbook ever since.  They have such a life of their own.
So. . . on to my cards.
I love these bubble blowers of Cheryls!  They remind me of many fun afternoons when I was little.  My sister and I would try to make a bubble as BIG as the Bubbalicious or Hubba Bubba cowboy made on the TV commercial before it popped all over our faces.  Such fun!!!
Thank you Cheryl, for the honor of being featured on your blog today.
This first card was made using the The Bubble Blower image.

The for the 2nd card that Dorcas made for her featured spot she used the Bubble Gum Disaster digi stamp.

Dorcas has amazing talent and is one of the sweetest people that I have every had the pleasure of exchanging emails with.  She is a true delight!
She has a beautiful blog, Dorcas Designs, which you will most definitely want to visit.  Her photos are just incredible!  A true inspiration and artist!  So hope on over there, but before you go, please leave Dorcas a comment.  I would love to hear from you and so would Dorcas.

So, be back next week for another Featured Sassy Friend.  And if you'd like to be featured, just drop me an email.  I'd love to hear from you.
