Studio
My Studio is a place of comfort. It's where I create everything that you see at Sassy Cheryl's.
My Cintiq is my palette. If I had to actually hand draw everything that I create, there would not be much for sale on my site. I've gotten so used to drawing electronically that it's difficult to work on actual paper.
Working with the Cintiq is great because you can easily erase without creating holes in your paper, and since I create everything as a separate layer it's so easy to make changes.
After I took this pic, I noticed that the bottom drawer was slightly open. You don't know how much that BUGS me! I'm a frugal kind of gal, so I picked up all of my desk items at yard sales or on Craigslist and painted them to match. Probably $100 total including paint. That's good for me since the electronics department is where I spend most of my money! : )
Many people have wondered what my studio looked like so I figured I'd give you a quick peek. I was inspired by Tracy because she showed her wonderful studio this past week on her blog, so I figured I could take a moment to snap a few photos.
As you can see from the 2nd photo, I was working on the Marker Artist~Colored Image~ when I snapped the photos.
Enjoy!
I like your space, Cheryl ! I had a good chuckle ... me too... me too ! I love good deals and spray paint !!! That Cintiq is amazing !
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you are so neat and organized! Thanks for sharing! Your artwork is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great spot to create! No wonder you're so successful! :)
ReplyDeleteWow.. so neat and organized! I don't dare show you pics of my craft grotto!
ReplyDeleteOK, now see...That's just WRONG! Who really has a space like that?! I'm going to take some pictures of "my studio" now so you can see how the other side lives! It'll take more than one because my WHOLE house is involved!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Cheryl! I now have equipment envy! I WANT ONE TOO!
See Peggy, that's why I don't do anything but draw on the computer. I hate all the CLEAN UP! And yes, this is the way it is most days except for the addition of a cup of coffee, my laptop and a notebook and pen.
ReplyDeleteI'm a neat freak for sure. Can't help it.
I'm impressed, Cheryl, you should see my little craft corner, I really don't dare to show some pictures!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Alina
